Woodlands-area car enthusiasts have a free afternoon outing on the calendar: Grand Central Park's 4th annual Cars in the Park returns Saturday, Nov. 14, from 2 to 5 p.m. at The Lake House, 1039 Lakehouse Drive in Conroe, roughly five miles north of The Woodlands along I-45 and Loop 336.

Admission is free and open to the public, according to an event announcement from Hello Woodlands sourced directly from Grand Central Park.

Attendees can browse vintage, custom and hot rod vehicles while DJ Albert spins music. Kids get a giant car-themed obstacle course and face painting. Food trucks will line up on-site, and beer and wine will be available for purchase.

The competition gives the crowd a say.

Visitors vote for People's Choice and Kids' Choice awards. Judges hand out trophies for Best in Show, Most Likely to Get Pulled Over and Best Restoration.

Last year's edition, held Nov. 29, 2025, followed a similar format with music, food trucks, face painting, balloon art and voting categories. Car owners paid a $25 entry fee to display their vehicles in 2025; the 2026 fee has not been confirmed.

The Lake House complex sits inside the 2,046-acre Grand Central Park community developed by Johnson Development Corp. The venue features a 7,600-square-foot clubhouse, event lawn, playground and dog park, according to Woodlands Online.

The show lands during a busy fall for local car culture. The Woodlands Car Club is marking its 25th anniversary in 2026, having raised more than $175,000 for over 100 Montgomery County nonprofits since its founding in March 2001. That club's season wraps Sunday, Dec. 6, with The Woodlands Cars & Coffee for a Cause, a separate free event featuring charitable check presentations and a toy drive benefiting The Loved Ones Left Behind, according to Hello Woodlands.
