A 23-year-old man will spend at least 30 years in prison before he's eligible for parole after a Montgomery County jury handed down two life sentences for the aggravated sexual assault and kidnapping of a pregnant convenience store clerk at a gas station on State Highway 105 in Conroe.
Logan Michael Parker received the concurrent life sentences on Aug. 6 after jurors deliberated only briefly during the punishment phase, according to the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office. The jury had returned guilty verdicts on Aug. 5 following a multi-day trial in the 435th District Court, presided over by Judge Patty Maginnis.
The attack happened in April 2025. Parker entered the gas station shortly after midnight to buy a drink. When his card was declined, the clerk voided the transaction and used her employee discount so he could leave with the drink for free.
Minutes later, Parker returned. He parked behind the building and turned off his headlights.
He forced the pregnant clerk into a restroom, threatened her life, sexually assaulted her, stole her cell phone and fled. After he left, the victim remained hidden until she believed it was safe, then sought help from customers entering the store. One customer called 911 immediately.
The Conroe Police Department's investigation produced surveillance footage, DNA evidence, digital forensic analysis, cellular records and vehicle location data that prosecutors presented at trial. Chief prosecutor Laura Hill and Division Chief Shanna Redwine tried the case for the state.
District Attorney Mike Holley called the crime "calculated evil" in a statement following the sentencing.
"A woman showed this defendant compassion. He repaid that kindness by returning to the store and committing an unspeakable act of violence against the very person who helped him," Holley said.
Holley said Parker will spend at least three decades behind bars before he is eligible for parole, crediting the survivor's courage, the Conroe Police Department's work and the commitment of the prosecution team.
The Montgomery County District Attorney's Office noted on X on Aug. 10 that the case demonstrated exceptional police work by Conroe PD.
Parker was identified as a repeat sex offender. The jury found both enhancement allegations true, which under Texas law elevates the punishment range and reflects prior criminal history.
He will be committed to the Texas Department of Criminal Justice to serve the two concurrent life sentences. No appeal has been reported.
