Matchbox Twenty will bring its 30th anniversary tour to The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion on Friday, June 18, 2027, with The Wallflowers as the opening act.
General tickets go on sale Friday, Oct. 23, at 10 a.m. local time through Ticketmaster and the band's website, according to a press release from the band's publicist. Fans who want early access can sign up for the artist presale, which begins Tuesday, Oct. 20, at 5 p.m. local time. A separate Spotify presale for eligible Spotify Premium top fans opens the same day at 10 a.m.
The Woodlands date is one of 52 stops on the tour, which the band announced Oct. 13. Promoted by Live Nation, the run begins May 15, 2027, in Birmingham, Alabama, and wraps Aug. 12 in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Other special guests on select dates include The All-American Rejects, David Gray, O.A.R., Matt Nathanson and The Lucky.
The tour celebrates three decades since the release of Yourself or Someone Like You, the 1996 debut album that introduced frontman Rob Thomas and bandmates Brian Yale, Paul Doucette and Kyle Cook. That record went diamond-certified and 12-times platinum on the strength of singles like "Push," "3AM," "Real World" and "Back 2 Good."
Since then, the band has sold more than 40 million records worldwide and earned multiple Grammy Award nominations, according to the press release. Later hits included "Bent," "Unwell," "If You're Gone" and "How Far We've Come."
The Pavilion is at 2005 Lake Robbins Dr. in The Woodlands. Pricing for the June 18 show has not been announced.
