A registered sex offender who tried to avoid being brought back to Texas is headed to prison for 30 years after pleading guilty to promotion of child pornography in Montgomery County.
Aaron Blair was arrested in March 2025 by the Precinct 1 Constable's Office Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, led by Sgt. Jerry Serratt, according to the constable's office. The charge: Promotion of Child Pornography, a second-degree felony under Texas law.
Blair fought extradition. After warrants were issued and the process moved forward, he was returned to Montgomery County and booked into the county jail in August 2025.
In July 2026, Blair pleaded guilty and received the 30-year prison sentence.
The Precinct 1 Constable's Office, based in Willis, said its investigators will continue pursuing offenders regardless of distance and following the evidence until they are brought to justice.
Recent ICAC cases
Serratt's ICAC unit has secured multiple lengthy sentences in the past year. In a separate case, Colorado man Jacob Neal Davis was sentenced to 30 years on May 29, 2025, after sending child pornography videos to Serratt during an online ICAC operation, according to a Montgomery County District Attorney's Office press release.
During April 2025 alone, the broader Montgomery County ICAC Task Force secured more than 80 years in combined prison sentences and one life sentence, and rescued five children from active abuse, according to a district attorney's office summary.
As recently as July 7, Serratt led a joint search warrant with the Houston Police Department ICAC Task Force at a Houston residence, resulting in the arrest of Allen Parrish Powell, 58, on charges of possession of child pornography and AI-generated child pornography, according to the constable's office.
The constable's office did not name the state where Blair was located at the time of his arrest or identify the court that sentenced him.
