A $45 ticket gets you more than 30 tequilas, mezcals and craft spirits, food from 10 local restaurants, and live music at the Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel & Convention Center on Aug. 22.

The Nach-Yo Ordinary Tequila Tasting, produced by Food & Vine Time Productions, runs from 6 to 9 p.m. at its new home on the Waterway at 1601 Lake Robbins Drive. The event previously took place at The Woodlands Country Club.

"Learning is part of the fun," said Constance McDerby, co-founder of Food & Vine Time Productions. "When you understand how tequila is crafted and what makes each expression unique, every sip becomes more meaningful."

The all-inclusive ticket covers tastings served neat and in cocktails, specialty drinks, food samples and admission to the Tequila Forum Seminar. Jessica Runnels, a tequila specialist and regional Mexcor specialist, leads the seminar, which walks attendees through the journey from agave piña to finished spirit, featuring six tequila expressions from the Agavales and VivaMor collection. Seating is first-come, first-served.

Ten vendors are providing food samples: Acqua, Caffe Di Fiore, Chefs United, H-E-B, HTX Nitro Creamery, La Taqueria, Marriott Woodlands, Pastel Pizza, Punks Tacos & Bao and Thistle Draft Shop. H-E-B is also sponsoring a Gourmet Nacho Bar with freshly made tortilla chips, guacamole, savory meats, queso and toppings.

Featured spirits include Agazul, Dos Sueños, El Tesoro, G4, Herradura, Melquiades, Satoma, Surtierra and Tres Agaves, among others. Guests can visit with master distillers, tequila specialists and brand ambassadors throughout the evening.

Artisan vendors including Monarca Hat Bar, Ocean Root and Swiss Chocolate Shoppe will also be on-site.

A Party Wagon Raffle valued at more than $1,500 in premium beverages, bar accessories and prizes benefits The Woodlands Arts Council, the Montgomery County nonprofit that supports performing and visual arts programming in the region.

Tickets are $45 online or $50 at the door. Attendees must be 21 or older. Event details and tickets are available at the Wine & Food Week event page.

Hello Woodlands is giving away two free tickets; entries close Thursday, Aug. 13, at 11:59 p.m.
