Artists across The Woodlands have about a month to paint, sketch or craft their way into the 38th Annual Wildflower Festival Art Contest, with up to $500 on the line for the winning entry.
The Woodlands Township began accepting wildflower-themed artwork submissions Monday, Aug. 17, and will continue through Sept. 18, the Township announced on X. Entries must be dropped off at the Township Office at Rob Fleming Park.
The contest is free to enter and open to all ages. The adult category winner takes home a $500 cash prize, while all children's category winners receive $100 each, according to the Township's Facebook page.
No experience required.
The Township's Parks & Recreation department runs the contest as a lead-in to the Wildflower Festival itself, scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 17, at Rob Fleming Park, 6055 Creekside Forest Drive. The Woodlands Lions Club organizes the festival, which the club calls its largest fundraiser of the year, bringing together nature and family programming for the community.

The Township newsroom first posted the contest details on Aug. 5, inviting all artists and creative minds to participate. The submission window is now open.
