The Woodlands Pride Festival returns to Town Green Park on Saturday, Oct. 31. Costumes are encouraged.
The free, all-ages event runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 2099 Lake Robbins Drive and will feature live entertainment, a market of local vendors and community organizations, food trucks and family-friendly activities, according to an announcement on Woodlands Online.
This year's edition adds a Halloween twist to the nonprofit's signature celebration of LGBTQIA+ community. Approaching its 10th year since launching in 2018, the festival has grown into what organizers call one of Texas's largest free Pride events. The 2024 edition drew more than 9,000 attendees, 125 exhibitors and nearly 20 sponsors.
"Our festival has always been about connection: showing up as your full self and finding a community that celebrates you for it," said Alex Morrison of The Woodlands Pride. "Bringing a little Halloween spirit into this year's celebration is our way of inviting even more of Montgomery County to come be part of that joy."
The Woodlands Pride is a 100% volunteer-run 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Beyond the annual festival, the organization runs the TWP Community Library in partnership with Village Books, a Woodlands-area bookstore, and TROT (There's Room at Our Table), a youth programming and community dinner series.
The organization was also a plaintiff in a federal lawsuit challenging Texas Senate Bill 12, which regulates sexually oriented performances in the presence of minors. A federal district court initially blocked the law in 2023, but the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals vacated that injunction in November 2025 and issued a revised opinion in February 2026 allowing enforcement to resume while the constitutional challenge continues. The appeals court found The Woodlands Pride lacked standing because its activities did not appear to fall within the statute's scope.
