Andy's Cleaners & Alterations has opened a 3,000-square-foot dry cleaning and tailoring shop at 2100 Buckthorne Place in Grogan's Mill Village Center, first reported by Community Impact. The business announced the opening in late September.

The shop includes a three-lane covered drive-through with valets during business hours. For off-hours visits, 24-hour automated kiosks handle garment drop-off and pickup seven days a week.

Co-owner Michelle Zeck leads the alterations department with three professional tailors who specialize in fittings, alterations and custom garment work. The location also features private fitting rooms, a dedicated alterations workroom and a customer lobby.

The business, registered as 2701 Research Forest DR LLC, went through several rounds of township approval before opening. The Woodlands Township Development Standards Committee approved a building remodel for the space on May 6, including color, material and lighting changes, two air conditioning units, and a staging and storage area, according to committee meeting minutes.

The committee conditionally approved additional variances at its Aug. 5 meeting for a cabinet building sign up to eight feet tall with halo-lit channel letters and for temporary monument signs. The committee also conditionally approved a landscaping variance for the location on Aug. 19, covering plantings not on the township's standard approved lists.

Andy's Cleaners joins a growing tenant roster at the revitalized Grogan's Mill Village Center, established in 1974 as The Woodlands' first shopping destination. Howard Hughes reopened the 31,363-square-foot retail portion of the center with a ribbon cutting on June 25, 2025, after a roughly 10-month renovation, according to Hello Woodlands.

Existing tenants include Brother's Pizza, Ome Calli Café, The UPS Store, Woodforest National Bank, Yonutz, Plush Nail Bar and SUNA Studio. Cooking Girl opened in July. Turquoise Wine Bar is targeting a fall 2026 opening, and Uni Sushi is planned for 2027, according to a We Sell The Woodlands report.

The shop at 2100 Buckthorne Place is open, with automated kiosks available around the clock.
