Sprouts Farmers Market will open its new Woodlands location Saturday, Sept. 12, one day later than originally planned.

The grocery chain shifted the grand opening at 4775 W. Panther Creek Dr. from Friday, Sept. 11, to Saturday, according to Sprouts corporate representatives, as Woodlands Online reported Wednesday. A ribbon-cutting ceremony begins at 6:45 a.m., with doors opening at 7 a.m.

The announcement did not include a reason for the schedule change.

The store fills the former Randalls space in Panther Creek Village Center at Suite 400. That grocery anchor closed in 2020, according to Community Impact, leaving the suite empty for about six years. A Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) filing listed the renovation at $3.46 million across 30,478 square feet, with construction beginning in July 2026, according to a separate Community Impact report.

The Woodlands Township Development Standards Committee voted unanimously to conditionally approve signage variances for the location at its Jan. 7 meeting, according to committee minutes.

Sprouts operates more than 450 stores in 24 states and employs about 35,000 people, according to the company.

Opening weekend includes a pop-up party with food samples and a scavenger hunt running all weekend. The first 200 shoppers through the door will receive free reusable totes. The first 400 customers get free long-stem roses, while supplies last.

Shoppers who sign up for Sprouts Rewards before opening weekend can get 20% off an in-store purchase that weekend, up to a $20 discount. The company did not specify whether the discount window runs through Sunday or Monday.

Doors open at 7 a.m. Saturday at 4775 W. Panther Creek Dr., Suite 400.
