Runners hoping to save on The Woodlands' annual fall race have until Tuesday, Sept. 29, to grab a 10% discount before registration caps are reached.

The Memorial Hermann 10 for Texas returns to Northshore Park on Saturday, Oct. 10, with a 10-mile run, a 5K and a kids' fun run. The Woodlands Township Parks and Recreation Department, which hosts the event, said in a press release that registration caps are in place and limited spots remain across all three races.

The promo code FALLFORRUNNING26 knocks 10% off registration through Sept. 29. At full price, the 10-mile race costs $70, the 3.1 Armadillo Run 5K is $60 and the One 4 Texas Kids' Fun Run is $35, according to Hello Woodlands.

There is no race-day registration and no packet resale. Registration closes when caps are reached.

The USATF-sanctioned 10-mile course starts at Northshore Park, 2505 Lake Woodlands Drive. The 10-mile and 5K events are chip-timed and recommended for ages 10 and older. The kids' fun run, a one-mile untimed event, is recommended for ages 5 and up.

Race day schedule

  • 7 a.m.: One 4 Texas Kids' Fun Run
  • 7:30 a.m.: 3.1 Armadillo Run 5K
  • 7:35 a.m.: 10-Mile Wheelchair Division
  • 7:40 a.m.: Memorial Hermann 10 for Texas 10-Mile Race
  • 9:30 a.m.: Awards Ceremony

Runners and walkers must maintain a 16-minutes-per-mile pace. The finish line closes three hours after the start, and all roads reopen by 10:30 a.m. Strollers, baby joggers, in-line skates, dogs and bicycles are not permitted on the course under USA Track & Field (USATF) rules.

Packet pickup and post-race party

Participants pick up race packets at The Woodlands Township Town Hall, 2801 Technology Forest Blvd., on Thursday, Oct. 8, from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Friday, Oct. 9, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Shirt sizes are first-come, first-served. Ten-mile participants receive a hat.

After the races, a post-race party at Northshore Park will feature food, beverages and live music.
