The Woodlands Township is hosting two ticketed fall events for families in October, starting with a poolside pumpkin hunt and followed by the community's first Halloween Bash.

The Pumpkin Float takes place Saturday, Oct. 10, from 3 to 5 p.m. at Lakeside Pool, 5001 W. Alden Bridge Drive, The Woodlands, TX 77382. Children ages 5 to 12 can search for pumpkins in a patch or in the pool, then decorate them. Separate stations offer games, and the Township's event listing says kids should bring a swimsuit. Fall beverages are included.

Admission is $30 for Township residents and $35 for non-residents, according to a Community Impact listing for the event. Space is limited, and advance registration is required. No registration deadline has been announced.

The Halloween Bash, billed as the Township's first, runs Friday, Oct. 16, from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at the Recreation Center at Rob Fleming Park, 6464 Creekside Forest Drive, The Woodlands, TX 77389. The evening includes putt-putt, carnival games, crafts, food vendors and a costume dance party, according to the Township's event page.

All ages are welcome at the Halloween Bash, unlike the Pumpkin Float's 5-to-12 age range.

Admission is $25 for residents and $30 for non-residents. A Woodlands Online listing describes the fee as per child, though the Township's own event page does not specify whether the price covers one child or an entire family. Pre-registration is required for this event as well.

Both events are produced by the Township's Parks and Recreation Department. Registration for both is open at thewoodlandsparks.com.
