The Woodlands Township is adding a new event to its October lineup: the first-ever Halloween Bash, set for Friday, Oct. 16, at the Recreation Center at Rob Fleming Park.

The event runs from 6:30 to 9 p.m. and is open to all ages, according to the Township's event listing. Activities include putt-putt, carnival games, crafts, refreshments, food vendors and a costume dance party.

Pre-registration is required. The Township noted in an Oct. 1 press release that its Halloween events tend to fill up fast and urged families to reserve spots early. Residents can sign up online, by phone at 281-516-7348 or in person at the recreation center, 6464 Creekside Forest Drive.

Woodlands Online listed the admission fee at $25 per child for residents and $35 per child for non-residents. The Township's own event page did not list pricing.

The Halloween Bash is one of several Township events this month. Hocus Pocus Pops with the Houston Symphony plays Oct. 23 at The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion, with free admission and no ticket required. The free Trick-or-Treat Trail featuring Monster Mash returns Oct. 25 from 1 to 5 p.m. at Rob Fleming Recreation Center. Two other new events round out the schedule: Bark-or-Treat at Rob Fleming Dog Park on Saturday, Oct. 17, and Treetop Trick-or-Treat at Texas TreeVentures on Oct. 31.
