The Woodlands-area families with children new to Conroe ISD can register in person one final time before the 2026-2027 school year at a district-wide walk-in event on Saturday, August 1.
The registration day runs from 9 a.m. to noon at two locations: the Walter P. Jett Teacher Training Center, 19043 David Memorial Drive in Shenandoah, and Peet Junior High, 1895 Longmire Road in Conroe. The Shenandoah location is the closer option for most Woodlands families.
The event is open to students new to the district in grades pre-kindergarten through 12.
What to bring
Conroe ISD's enrollment page lists five required documents:
- Proof of residency
- Birth certificate
- Social Security card
- Immunization records
- Parent or guardian identification
Families who prefer to skip the line can complete registration entirely online through the district's Family Portal at conroeisd.net/o/cisd/page/enrollment-transfers. The portal allows parents to create a household account, upload documents, and finish enrollment forms at any time.
Why it matters
Saturday, August 1, is the last scheduled in-person registration opportunity before classes begin. The district held earlier summer walk-in sessions at the Jett Center from mid-June through mid-July, but those dates have passed. The first day of school for Conroe ISD students is Wednesday, August 12.
Conroe ISD announced the event on its verified Facebook page on Thursday, July 23, promoting both locations and encouraging new families to attend.
