The Els for Autism Foundation is bringing a fundraising gala to The Woodlands Country Club on Saturday, Aug. 29, with live music, chef-inspired food stations, alcohol samplings, a silent auction, and dancing.
The Luxury Gala runs from 6 to 9 p.m. at 100 Grand Fairway, The Woodlands. Both club members and non-members can attend, but registration is required. Members register through the ForeTees app; non-members can reserve a spot by emailing Nichole Mischo at Arcis Golf: [email protected].
The event is hosted through Arcis Golf, which acquired The Woodlands Country Club in May 2025 and has committed more than $30 million in upgrades to the 99-hole private club's courses and amenities. Arcis launched a nationwide "Round Up 4 Els for Autism" fundraising campaign in March 2026, according to a company press release, reflecting an ongoing partnership between the club operator and the foundation.
Els for Autism was founded in 2009 by World Golf Hall of Famer Ernie Els, his wife Liezl, and publisher Marvin R. Shanken after the couple's son, Ben, was diagnosed with autism. The foundation runs programs in early intervention, recreation, and adult services from its campus in Jupiter, Florida, with virtual options available nationwide.
The organization's Golf Challenge tournament series, now in its 16th year, has raised more than $44.2 million since 2011. The Woodlands Country Club hosted a regional Golf Challenge event on June 22 as part of the 2026 series, according to the foundation's schedule.
Autism affects about one in 31 children in the United States, according to 2025 CDC data cited by the foundation.
No ticket price has been announced publicly.
