Salt-N-Pepa, TLC and En Vogue play The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion on Sunday, Oct. 4, on the It's Iconic tour.

Gates open for the 7:30 p.m. show at 2005 Lake Robbins Dr. The Woodlands stop is among the tour's last before it wraps Oct. 11 in Concord, Calif.

The concert arrives days after Salt-N-Pepa's Cheryl "Salt" James, a Grammy winner and Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee, released her debut solo album. "Salty N Lit," a 15-track, faith-rooted record, came out Sept. 25 through her label Salt Songs, Inc., according to BroadwayWorld.

The album features Shanice, Dee-1, Erica Campbell, Finn Matthews and Elijah Blake, plus an interlude from MC Chuck D.

"Every song is a piece of my life, my faith, and my journey," James said in a statement on Sept. 25. "To everyone who has rocked with me from day one, thank you for waiting on me."

TLC member Tionne "T-Boz" Watkins, 56, has missed several tour dates after a sickle cell crisis sent her to the hospital in late August. TLC spokesperson Christal Jordan told USA Today in early September that Watkins was recovering.

Rozonda "Chilli" Thomas has been performing TLC's sets with support from Salt-N-Pepa and En Vogue. TLC manager Bill Diggins said in a Sept. 3 statement that Watkins' condition was not considered life-threatening and that she looked forward to returning when medically cleared.

No public update on Watkins' status has been confirmed since early September. Concertgoers may want to check the Pavilion's social media channels closer to the show.

At a Chicago tour stop on Sept. 8, a Rebellious Magazine reviewer described En Vogue members Maxine Jones, Cindy Herron and Terry Ellis opening with "My Lovin' (You're Never Gonna Get It)" and "Free Your Mind."

Salt-N-Pepa followed with "None of Your Business" and "R U Ready," and En Vogue joined them for "Whatta Man." TLC's set featured "No Scrubs," "Waterfalls" and "Creep."

Tickets are available through Live Nation. Upgrades include garage parking, lawn chair rental and an En Vogue Meet & Greet VIP package, with the event ticket sold separately.

The Pavilion's "Summer of Live" deal offers two tickets for $55 or four for $99 to select shows, including this one, through Tuesday, Sept. 29, according to the venue's Facebook page. Full show details are on the Pavilion's website.
