The upscale dining-and-cinema concept that Omar and Denise Khan launched on Six Pines Drive in 2023 is getting a bigger sibling in Houston's Post Oak neighborhood this summer, bringing 75 to 100 new jobs with it.
Omar Khan told Community Impact that the second Audrey Restaurant and Bar location is about 90% staffed and roughly 2,000 square feet larger than the original Woodlands spot at 9595 Six Pines Drive. The new space will include a 24-seat private dining room.
"We really want people to think of it as a gathering place for the neighborhood where they can come and enjoy friends and family time together," Khan said.
The expansion follows three years of operation at the Woodlands location, which fuses American dishes with European-inspired touches and a cinema theme honoring Audrey Hepburn. Signature plates include a truffle ribeye with Boursin mashed potatoes and a truffle cheeseburger topped with foie gras aioli and oyster mushrooms.
The Khans' local footprint
The couple's ties to The Woodlands run deeper than The Audrey. Omar and Denise Khan co-founded Star Cinema Grill, a Houston-area dine-in theater chain, and acquired State Fare Kitchen and Bar at 1900 Hughes Landing in 2018. Both The Audrey and State Fare are participating in 2026 Houston Restaurant Weeks, which runs Saturday, August 1 through Monday, September 7. The Audrey's prix fixe dinner is priced at $55.
Omar Khan said he has been in the cinema and entertainment industry since age 13. That background shaped The Audrey's interior, which evokes a 1960s feel through intimate seating and warm lighting. Denise Khan collaborated with Laura Loreman Interior Design Studio on the Post Oak location's look, aiming for a similar aesthetic with area-specific touches.
What's next
Khan has not announced a specific opening date for the Post Oak location beyond "this summer." No street address has been publicly released. The Woodlands location continues regular service, including weekday happy hour from 3 to 6 p.m. and weekend brunch from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
