The Woodlands Township launches a five-tournament pickleball series at the Falconwing Pickleball Courts, with the first event set for Saturday, Sept. 12.

The Fall Pickleball Tournament Series is open to players 18 and older and runs through December, according to a Township press release. Each tournament carries a different theme and format. Players can sign up for one event or the full series.

Registration costs $20 per player for Woodlands residents and $25 for non-residents. Top finishers receive custom medals. Event photography is included at each tournament.

The lineup

Top of the Town: Saturday, Sept. 12, at 9 a.m. The series opener features separate men's and women's divisions in a Crown of the Court format. Winners advance through a Champions Court bracket. The Township provides the tournament ball, a Franklin X-40 Outdoor.

Halloween Tournament: Friday, Oct. 9, at 6:30 p.m. Open doubles with traditional scoring. Games go to 11 points, win by two, followed by a single-elimination bracket.

Hats Off to Heroes: Saturday, Nov. 14, at 9 a.m. This open doubles event honors military members, veterans, teachers, first responders and healthcare professionals. A special "Hero Ball" rule gives each team one chance per game to declare a serve worth two points instead of one. Registration for this event is $40 per team or $20 per individual free agent, who will be paired with a partner.

November to Remember: November 2026, at 9 a.m. A 55-and-older mixed doubles tournament using Crown of the Court rules. The Township's press release and parks website list different dates for this event; players should confirm the date when registering.

Ugly Sweater Holiday Tournament: December 2026, at 9 a.m. The Township describes this closer as an annual holiday favorite. The exact date should be confirmed at registration, as Township sources list different dates.

All five tournaments take place at the Falconwing Pickleball Courts, 1077 Falconwing Drive.
