The Houston Symphony performs a free, dinosaur-themed concert at The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion on Wednesday, Sept. 9.

The Houston Symphony described the program as geared toward children who love dinosaurs, adults ready to get a little prehistoric and classical music fans drawn to compositions about mythical creatures, according to a listing on MommyPoppins Houston. The symphony said it aims to overwhelm audiences with the power and wonder of dinosaurs through live orchestral performance.

Wednesday's performance is one of several free Houston Symphony shows at the Pavilion this season. The next free concert, "Hocus Pocus Pops," is scheduled for Friday, Oct. 23. That show also requires no ticket.
