Twenty-eight restaurants along the Woodlands Waterway, Hughes Landing, and surrounding communities will offer prix fixe menus starting Saturday, August 1, as part of Houston Restaurant Weeks, the 23-year-old dining event that raises money for the Houston Food Bank.
The 38-day event runs through Monday, September 7. Diners who request the special menu at participating restaurants trigger a donation from the restaurant itself, with no separate payment required.
Katie Stone, president of The Cleverley Stone Foundation, which produces the event, told ABC 13 on July 18: "My mother started Houston Restaurant Weeks in 2003 to help restaurants through their hardest month, and that mission has never mattered more than it does right now."
How the donations work
Each prix fixe meal generates a restaurant donation to the food bank:
- $55 dinner — $5 donation, producing about 15 meals
- $39 dinner — $3 donation, producing about 9 meals
- $25 brunch or lunch — $1 donation, producing about 3 meals
Funds raised by Montgomery County restaurants are earmarked specifically for the Montgomery County Food Bank, according to Hello Woodlands.
In 2025, Houston Restaurant Weeks raised more than $1.6 million. Since its founding, the program has generated over $23 million and more than 70 million meals for food-insecure families, according to Community Impact.
Where to dine locally
Several participating spots cluster along the Woodlands Waterway and Hughes Landing, making a walkable evening out possible: Morton's Grille (25 Waterway Ave.), Kokoro Handroll Bar (24 Waterway Ave.), Churrascos (21 Waterway Ave.), Del Frisco's Grille (1900 Hughes Landing), State Fare Kitchen & Bar (1900 Hughes Landing), Audrey Restaurant & Bar (9595 Six Pines Dr.), Mastro's Ocean Club (9595 Six Pines Dr.), and Truluck's (1900 Hughes Landing Blvd.).
Other local participants include Amerigo's Grille, Amrina at Waterway Square, Black Walnut Café, Fielding's Wood Grill on Research Forest Drive, North Italia on Lake Woodlands Drive, Xalisko Cocina Mexicana on Lake Woodlands Drive, Perry's Steakhouse, Porta'Vino on East Shore Drive, rise Soufflé, and Zanti on Research Forest Drive.
Restaurants in Shenandoah, including Johnny's Italian Steakhouse, Sal e Brasa Brazilian Steakhouse, and Saltgrass Steak House, plus Federal American Grill in Oak Ridge North round out the area list.
What diners need to know
Most restaurants accept walk-ins. Perry's Steakhouse, Phat Eatery, and Sal e Brasa require reservations. Several spots offer to-go options, including Churrascos, Fielding's Wood Grill, Perry's, Phat Eatery, Porta'Vino, and Red Flame Steak and Grill in Magnolia.
Diners must ask for the Houston Restaurant Weeks menu when ordering. The full list of participating restaurants and their menus is available at houstonrestaurantweeks.com. The lineup may still change, Community Impact reported.
