Shoppers looking for swimwear at Market Street in The Woodlands will need to find a new spot. Everything But Water, the resort wear and swimsuit retailer at 9595 Six Pines Drive, closed its doors on Saturday, July 25.
John Pearson, marketing director at Market Street, confirmed the closure to Community Impact Newspaper.
No reason for the store's departure was given, and no replacement tenant has been announced.
Everything But Water sold bikinis, one-piece suits, cover-ups and resort wear along with accessories such as bags, hats and footwear, according to the brand's website. The Market Street storefront is now dark.
What it means for Market Street
The vacancy lands in one of The Woodlands' busiest retail and dining destinations. Market Street is a 560,000-square-foot outdoor lifestyle center managed by Trademark Property Company. It houses 375,000 square feet of street-level retail, 21 restaurants and eateries, 115,000 square feet of Class A office space and a 70-room Hyatt Centric hotel, all situated across Six Pines Drive from the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion.
Pearson did not indicate whether the space would be re-leased or what type of tenant Market Street's management is seeking.
