Montgomery County sheriff's deputies found nearly 2 grams of fentanyl and personal data belonging to hundreds of people inside a vehicle stopped on Lake Woodlands Drive on Thursday, Sept. 3.

Deputies with the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office Crime Reduction Unit (CRU) pulled over a black Nissan SUV near the 1100 block of Lake Woodlands Drive while conducting enforcement operations in The Woodlands, Woodlands Online reported.

The driver, Christina Haley, 36, of Montgomery, had three active felony warrants from the Harris County Sheriff's Office. The warrants were for tampering with government records, fraudulent use of identifying information and credit/debit card abuse.

Deputies took Haley into custody on the warrants. A search of the SUV turned up approximately 1.97 grams of fentanyl along with personal identifying information, according to the sheriff's office. The seized material included names, Social Security numbers and bank routing numbers.

Haley was booked into the Montgomery County Jail on a charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance in addition to the three Harris County warrants.

The sheriff's office said in a Facebook post that Haley is expected to face additional charges related to the personal identifying information, which belonged to hundreds of potential victims. Investigators are working to identify and notify those individuals. No timeline for additional charges has been announced.

The arrest is the second time in roughly five weeks that the CRU has recovered stolen personal data in The Woodlands. On July 29, deputies arrested a separate suspect at The Woodlands Mall after a plainclothes operation. That search turned up stolen credit cards, mail, victim identification and a U.S. Postal Service "arrow" key used to open community mailboxes, according to Montgomery County Police Reporter. In that case, the CRU was also working to notify victims and banking institutions of compromised personal information.
