Young fans of the DreamWorks Animation series Gabby's Dollhouse will get a chance to step into the show's world when The Woodlands Children's Museum hosts a MEOWseum Discovery Days Photo Experience from Friday, Sept. 11, through Saturday, Sept. 19.
The event brings cat-themed activities and a photo station with a Gabby's Dollhouse backdrop and life-size Gabby standee to the Panther Creek Drive museum, according to the museum's event listing. The experience is included with standard admission: $10 per person for anyone 1 year and older. Museum members get in free.
Parents should note: no costumed Gabby character will appear at The Woodlands location. The event is a photo-op and activity experience only.
The program is part of a national partnership between DreamWorks Animation and the Association of Children's Museums, now in its second year. In 2025, MEOWseum Discovery Days drew more than 56,000 guests across 44 museums nationwide and generated an average 50% attendance bump at participating locations, according to an ACM announcement.
Families wanting a full costume-character meet-and-greet can look to Children's Museum Houston, which hosts one Oct. 23–25 as part of the national tour.
Jennifer Kraus, Interim Executive Director of The Woodlands Children's Museum, said on July 27 that the museum is in the middle of "a busy summer season full of magical activities for children and families," speaking in connection with a $12,500 Market Street donation to the nonprofit. The Gabby's Dollhouse event adds to that fall lineup.
Hours during the run: Tuesday through Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The museum is closed Sunday and Monday. Tickets are available at bit.ly/TWCMtickets.
The Woodlands Children's Museum is located at 4775 W. Panther Creek Drive, Suite 280.
