A motorcycle rider who crashed his bike and ran from a 50-officer task force Thursday, July 30, spent about an hour hiding under a mobile home before a Precinct 4 K-9 named Joker found him and bit him.
Hunter Wayne-Douglas Harston was charged with evading arrest and transported to Montgomery County Jail after being treated at Kingwood Hospital for the dog bite, Montgomery County Police Reporter reported. It was at least his third documented flight from law enforcement in less than a year.
The incident began around 10 p.m. when deputies attempted to stop Harston's motorcycle on I-69 near FM 1485 in east Montgomery County. He refused to stop, fleeing south onto Loop 494, then onto West Heritage Drive. In the curve at Oak Lane, he wrecked the bike and took off on foot.
Constable Kenneth "Rowdy" Hayden already had a task force of 50 officers working in the area. They swarmed the neighborhood immediately.
About an hour later, K-9 Joker located Harston beneath a mobile home and removed him.
Texas DPS troopers said they were unsure why Harston ran. He had no outstanding warrants at the time of the stop.
A pattern of running
The July 30 arrest was not Harston's first evading charge. On Sept. 7, 2025, he fled from police and was sentenced five days later to 10 days in Montgomery County Jail. Then on Oct. 21, 2025, a deputy tried to pull him over on FM 2083 in Grangerland during the day. Harston led the deputy down FM 3083 to FM 2090, heading east, before entering a ditch in heavy school traffic. The deputy broke off the pursuit because of the traffic.
Days after that October chase, Harston was arrested for attempting to steal a dirt bike near Old Houston Road and SH 242.
