Mitchell Intermediate School will open its Campus-Level Planning Committee meeting to the public Monday, Sept. 21. Alden Bridge families can see how the school scored on state accountability measures and hear about plans for the year ahead.

The meeting takes place in Room 135 at the school, 6800 Alden Bridge Drive. A specific start time was not listed in the public notice posted on the Conroe ISD website Monday, Sept. 14.

Principal Jeremy Williams signed the notice, which said the committee will review the campus's annual rating from the Texas Education Agency (TEA) and discuss the Campus Improvement Plan. The committee is required under Texas Education Code §11.253, which mandates site-based planning at every campus to support student performance.

Mitchell Intermediate, which serves about 1,250 fifth- and sixth-graders, earned an A with a score of 94 on the TEA's 2026 accountability scale, according to a Woodlands schools guide that cited official TEA reports. The TEA grades campuses on student achievement, school progress and closing performance gaps. An A falls in the 90–100 range.

Mitchell Intermediate's A came as Conroe ISD posted its third consecutive overall B rating districtwide. The TEA released the 2026 ratings Aug. 15. Across the district's 66 campuses, 22 earned an A, 26 earned a B, 11 earned a C, five earned a D and two earned an F, Community Impact Newspaper reported.

Superintendent David Vinson said in an Aug. 16 news release that the gains were no accident. "These results represent thousands of hours of planning, teaching, intervention, encouragement and hard work by our students, teachers, support staff, campus leaders and families," Vinson said at the time.

The meeting is open to the public. The committee will review how the campus's TEA rating was calculated and discuss goals in the improvement plan.

Mitchell Intermediate sits in The Woodlands' Alden Bridge village and generally feeds into McCullough Junior High and The Woodlands High School.
