Foxy & The Hares will close out the Rock the Row summer concert series Thursday, Aug. 6, with a free pop/rock performance at the Band Shell at Hughes Landing from 7 to 9 p.m.
The show caps a five-week run of Thursday evening concerts along the shores of Lake Woodlands, according to The Woodlands Township. The summer lineup opened July 9 with Leslie Lugo's Latin set and moved through soul, a Shakira tribute and variety acts before landing on this week's pop/rock finale.
Families looking for one last outdoor outing before the school year have a narrow window. Conroe ISD's first day of classes is Wednesday, Aug. 12, six days after the concert.
Rock the Row is organized by The Woodlands Township Parks & Recreation Department and presented by Houston Methodist The Woodlands Hospital, with additional sponsorship from Howard Hughes. The Township's event page notes that coolers, picnic baskets, blankets and lawn chairs are welcome. Glass is prohibited. All entertainment is weather-dependent and subject to change.
Hughes Landing restaurants sit steps from the Band Shell for anyone wanting dinner before or after the music. The venue is at 1900 Hughes Landing Blvd.
The summer series wraps Thursday, but Rock the Row returns for a fall run at Hughes Landing. Market Street The Woodlands also hosts a separate Fall Concert Series with six free Thursday shows from Sept. 17 through Oct. 29 at 9595 Six Pines Drive.
