The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office is asking residents to help locate a missing 16-year-old boy who was last seen Sunday, July 26, leaving a home in the Spring area.

Riley Folkes left a residence in the 30100 block of S. Lake Falls Lane in Spring and has not been heard from since, according to an MCSO press release published Friday, July 31. The sheriff's office classified the case as a missing juvenile/runaway under case number 26A255140.

The address falls within the MCSO Woodlands Patrol Division's service area, which covers The Woodlands and surrounding south Montgomery County communities.

Physical description

Riley is described as 5 feet 5 inches tall, 145 pounds, with brown eyes, red hair, and a fair complexion.

When last seen on July 26, he was wearing a blue T-shirt, blue jeans, and carrying a "shark"-themed backpack.

The sheriff's office said Riley is from the area. No additional details about the circumstances of his departure have been released, and no photo was included in the public notice.
