The Woodlands Arts Council's annual fall show has a new name and an expanded lineup for 2026.
The nonprofit announced July 20 that the Texas Fine Craft Show will become the Woodlands Fine Craft, Art & Design Show, with its debut under the new banner set for Saturday, September 26, and Sunday, September 27, at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel's Town Center North Exhibit Hall. Tickets go on sale Monday, August 3.
Executive Director and CEO Jenny Carattini-Wright said the rebrand grew out of years of feedback from artists, patrons, and sponsors.
"While exceptional fine craft remains at the heart of the show, we've expanded the experience to include more art and design while creating even more opportunities for visitors to discover original work and enjoy a welcoming weekend of shopping and discovery," Carattini-Wright said in the announcement.
The name change is new. The mission is not.
The renamed event will feature juried artists and designers from across the country in three categories: Wearable Design & Jewelry, Art & Sculpture, and Fine Craft & Home Décor. Returning programming includes "Meet the Makers" booth talks, where patrons can hear directly from exhibiting artists, along with live music throughout the weekend and specialty vendors.
Show's growth
The event launched in November 2024 at The Westin Hotel in The Woodlands with more than 40 artists. By its second edition in September 2025, the show had moved to the Waterway Marriott and grown to 60 nationally juried artists. TWAC reported increased attendance and meaningful sales at the 2025 show, according to a post-show recap.
TWAC's announcement describes the 2026 edition as a two-day event. Previous years ran three days, including a Friday VIP preview evening called "Cheers!" The council has not announced whether a Friday preview will return this year.
What's ahead
Ticket pricing, the full artist lineup, special promotions, and new visitor experiences will be announced in coming weeks, according to TWAC. Sponsorship opportunities are still available; interested businesses can contact Carattini-Wright at [email protected].
Proceeds from the show support TWAC's programs, including its Microgrant Program for arts educators, organizations, students, and independent artists in The Woodlands and Montgomery County. The council has provided more than $1.5 million in charitable giving since its founding.
