About 500 supporters are expected to fill The Woodlands Waterway Marriott on Saturday, Aug. 8, for the YES to YOUTH annual gala, a fundraiser backing crisis intervention, counseling, and shelter services for at-risk youth across Montgomery County.

Doors open at 6 p.m.

The nonprofit, which has operated for more than 47 years, runs the BridgeWay Youth Shelter for children ages 10 to 17 healing from abuse, neglect, homelessness, and trafficking. The evening's theme is "Every Child Deserves an Ever After."

This year's Lifetime Legacy Honorees are Sylvia Caracio and Jacque Everson, recognized for decades of service as volunteers, board members, and advocates. Robichau's Jewelry, the family-owned Panther Creek shop founded in 1986 by Jack and Lynda Robichau and now led by sons John, Jason, and Matt, is the Community Partner Honoree. The store has donated custom-designed live auction pieces since 2014, helping raise hundreds of thousands of dollars for YES to YOUTH programs.

"We are deeply honored to be recognized by YES to YOUTH," John Robichau said in a June 16 statement through the Woodlands Area Chamber of Commerce. "We've seen firsthand the difference these programs make, and we are proud to play a role in helping local children find safety, stability, and hope."

Four nights at the Pavilion

The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion stacks four consecutive national acts beginning Thursday, Aug. 6, when John Mellencamp brings his Dancing Words tour with a 26-song set spanning five decades of hits, according to Woodlands Online. TOTO headlines Friday, Aug. 7, joined by Christopher Cross and The Romantics. The Black Crowes and Whiskey Myers roll through Saturday, Aug. 8, on the Southern Hospitality Tour, and Ne-Yo and Akon close the run Sunday, Aug. 9, with the Nights Like This Tour.

Rock the Block at Market Street

The Pavilion's Rock the Block Summer Musical Send-Off takes over Market Street on Tuesday, Aug. 4, from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The free event features an interactive dance workshop with Open Dance Project, live music from Tom's Fun Band, hands-on crafts, and The Pavilion's Instrument Petting Zoo, according to Woodlands Mommy.
