The Woodlands Township's regular pool season ends Tuesday, Aug. 11, but swimmers still have nearly a month of pool access ahead.

Nine township pools switch to a weekend-only schedule starting Wednesday, Aug. 12, according to a township press release. Saturday hours run noon to 6 p.m.; Sundays are 1 to 6 p.m. The post-season schedule runs through Monday, Sept. 7, which is Labor Day.

All nine pools will also be open on Labor Day from noon to 6 p.m.

The pools staying open are Cranebrook, Creekwood, Falconwing, Harper's Landing, Sawmill, Shadowbend, Rob Fleming Aquatic Center, Windvale and Wendtwoods.

Shadowbend adds weekday hours

Shadowbend Pool is the only location offering weekday swims during post-season. It's open Monday through Thursday, 1 to 6 p.m., and closed Fridays.

The township operates 14 neighborhood pools plus the Rob Fleming Aquatic Center. With nine staying open for post-season, five will close entirely after Aug. 11. The announcement did not specify which five.

Spraygrounds open through October

The township's six spraygrounds remain open daily, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., through Saturday, Oct. 31. The announcement did not list the six sprayground locations by name but directs residents to the township's aquatics page or the 2026 Summer Splash Guide for addresses.

Special events during post-season

At least one ticketed event falls during the post-season window: Morning with a Mermaid at Cranebrook Pool on Saturday, Aug. 15, with time slots at 8 a.m. for shallow-water swimmers and 9:30 a.m. for experienced swimmers. Registration includes all-day pool access.

Full pool and sprayground details are available on the township's aquatics page.
